Who's hot

Marcus Thornton — The LSU freshman not only took over the SEC scoring lead, he hit a shot to give the Tigers their first SEC win of the year Wednesday night.

Nick Calathes — The Florida guard has turned into an assists machine. His 10 against Vanderbilt kept him atop the league with an average of 6.83 per game.

Patrick Beverly — The Arkansas guard may be only 6-foot-1, but he crashes the boards. Beverly averages 9.5 defensive rebounds a game, the best in league games.

Who's not

Vandy on the road — The ’Dores are struggling away from the confines of Memorial Gym. In three of their four losses, they have failed to reach 30 points by halftime.

Jarvis Varnado at the line — The Mississippi State center has a real problem on the charity shots. He is 24-of-55 so far this season.

Auburn's crowds — Maybe they're waiting for the new arena or just until their team gets good. But Auburn is averaging 4,514 per game in 10 games this season.
