The Gator Party became the first UF party Tuesday to announce its executive ticket for the upcoming Student Government election.
Current Senate President and presidential hopeful Kevin Reilly held open interviews Jan. 17-18 to find who he said would be the "most qualified candidates from across the campus," and ultimately chose former Gator Party President Yooni Yi to run for student body vice president and current senator Paul Drayton to run for student body treasurer.
"They are two of the most dynamic and intelligent people I've ever met," Reilly said.
"I'm looking forward to running with them and hopefully working with them next semester."
Yi has been working with the Gator Party as party president for more than a year while Drayton is the current chairman of the Budget and Appropriations committee in the senate.
Now that the party has its executive ticket out of the way, Reilly said he is looking forward to slating senate candidates, a process which begins for all registered parties on Friday and will continue next week.
