Chilly, wet weekend weather

A 70 percent chance of rain is forecast for the Gainesville area Saturday with a 40 percent chance rain that night.

Cold weather will linger through the weekend with rain likely all day Saturday in the Gainesville area, the National Weather Service in Jacksonville reported.

A 70 percent chance of rain is forecast for the Gainesville area Saturday with a 40 percent chance rain that night, according to meteorologists. Sunny weather should return Sunday.

Lows overnight Friday through Sunday would be in the upper 30s to the low 40s with temperatures warming Tuesday with highs in the 70s.

Weather conditions early Friday were chilly with wind chill values in the upper 30s and an easterly wind between 13 and 16 mph, according to the weather service.
