1. Tennessee — Despite loss, this is still the league's power team.

2. Mississippi St. — Early SEC schedule has helped but the Bulldogs are unbeaten.

3. Florida — Don't look now but the Gators lead the East.

4. Vanderbilt — Commodores have to play better on the road.

5. Mississippi — We're about to find out a lot about this team.

6. Kentucky — Wildcats look better but have a long climb to an NCAA bid.

7. Georgia — Dennis Felton is doing a remarkable job with that team.

8. Arkansas — Razorbacks remain a mystery so far this year.

9. Auburn — Like Itchy and Scratchy, “They fight and fight, and fight and fight.”

10. South Carolina — Either way it would be Dave Odom's last year.

11. Alabama — Until the Tide wins a game.

12. LSU — Clearly the bottom of the league.
