Cold temps back this week

Thursday night temperatures will force residents to pull out the blankets.
Forecasters are expecting colder weather just before the weekend with a low in the mid 30s Thursday night in the Gainesville area, according to the National Weather Service in Jacksonville. More rain is predicted Wednesday and Thursday, when the rain chance will increase to 50 percent.
Temperatures should increase slightly Friday, although lows will remain in the 40s, meteorologists reported.
The forecast predicts warmer weather will return by the weekend with highs in the 70s and 30 percent chance of rain Sunday.
