A business owner fired two shots at an intruder who broke into a W. University Avenue store early Tuesday, the Alachua County Sheriff's Office reported.
No one was injured during the break-in at The By Ear Musician, 7230 W. University Ave., said Sheriff's Office spokesman Sgt. Keith Faulk.
The store's owner heard someone inside the business and fired two shots, Faulk said. Deputies recovered the bullets.
The burglar escaped with cash from the business, Faulk said.
An investigation was continuing Tuesday morning.
