All three lanes of northbound Interstate 75 have been reopened after an
overturned semi tractor-trailer clogged traffic near the Micanopy exit,
according to Lt. Mike Burroughs with the Florida Highway Patrol.
Burroughs reported at 6 p.m. that all lanes had been reopened from the
crash, which occurred shortly before 3:30 p.m. A semi carrying grape juice
overturned in the northbound lanes just north of the Micanopy exit,
blocking all three lanes for more than an hour. By 5 p.m., two lanes had
been reopened, and by 6 p.m., traffic was flowing smoothly again, Burroughs
reported.
The driver of the semi was transported to the hospital after the crash, but
troopers reported he did not have serious injuries.
