Bethune manages a narrow win

<p>Justin Brannon ran for two touchdowns, including a last-minute 2-yard scramble that gave Bethune-Cookman a 24-20 come-from-behind win Saturday over North Carolina A&T.</p><p> Brannon ran 23 yards for his first score early in a second quarter that saw the Wildcats (3-5, 1-4 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) cruise to a 17-0 lead a few minutes later on a 50-yard pass from Jimmie Russell to Corey Council.</p><p> That's when the Aggies (0-9, 0-5) began fighting back, capping the half with a 28-yard field goal that at least got them on the board at halftime, 17-3.</p><p> A&T blazed into the second half, scoring on a 40-yard fumble recovery by Joseph Taylor less than five minutes in, then closing the deficit to 17-14 on a 30-yard field goal.</p><p> Shelton Morgan's 74-yard TD pass to Mike Caldwell early in the fourth gave the Aggies a 20-17 lead and hope for their first win this season. </p><p> But with just over a minute to play, Brannon turned the game around with his run.</p>
