Florida senior receiver Andre "Bubba" Caldwell practiced Tuesday on a limited basis to prepare for the Gators' showdown with No. 1 LSU.

"We're being really careful with Bubba," Florida coach Urban Meyer said.

Caldwell (sprained knee) played in spots last Saturday against Auburn, but had no receptions. Sophomore quarterback Tim Tebow threw once to Caldwell on a deep pattern, which fell incomplete.

In three games this season, Caldwell has four catches for 111 yards.

Sophomore cornerback Markihe Anderson (knee) did not practice Tuesday but should be ready for LSU, Meyer said.

Moore carries

Florida junior tailback Kestahn Moore said he wasn't upset that he only carried the ball three times last Saturday against Auburn.

"It was just basically one game," Moore said. "It was what was in the gameplan at that point. Coach was seeing something with Auburn and with that defense, so I wasn't able to get as many carries as he wanted me to get."

Florida again relied heavily on Tebow to run the ball. Tebow carried 19 times for 75 yards.

"A lot of people didn't get as many touches," Moore said. "We've said before we have a lot of playmakers out there, and everybody won't get a high percentage of touches a game."

Moore has rushed for 297 yards on 56 carries this season, an average of 5.1 yards per carry. He's already surpassed his rushing touchdown total (four) from a season ago.

Still, Moore thinks he can improve in certain areas: "Making more big plays, never giving up during the play when I get the chance," Moore said. "Having so many playmakers out there, when you get the ball you've got to make a play."

Etc.

Meyer described Tuesday's practice as "all right." The Gators practiced on a soggy field doused by rain earlier in the afternoon. "It was a typical Tuesday," Meyer said. "Time to get new stuff in and get ready for an excellent team."
