Offense — C-
FIRST HALF: Part of the problem was only having four possessions and only six plays (plus two penalties) in the first quarter.
SECOND HALF: Florida was much better but couldn't get that one final drive going that could have won the game.
FOR THE GAME: When you score 17 points, you're going to be in trouble no matter what the other side is doing.
Defense — C
FIRST HALF: The Gators were shredded, pure and simple, allowing 10 plays of nine yards or more and a pair of long scoring drives.
SECOND HALF: Again, Florida showed a lot of improvement, slowing down the Tigers until the final seconds of the game.
FOR THE GAME: The defense was very poor in the first half and needed to set the tone earlier.
Special teams — B-
FIRST HALF: Brandon James has a pair of nice returns and Chas Henry did a good job, but the blocked field goal was a momentum-killer.
SECOND HALF: Henry's bad punt set up Auburn for the winning drive and special teams could have used a big play.
FOR THE GAME: Not bad, but nothing really special for a team that prides itself on winning the special teams battle.
Overall — C-
The Gators showed some fight at home but can't start games the way they did or it will get ugly on the road.
