Former Gator first baseman Matt LaPorta likely won't forget his first professional at-bat.

LaPorta blasted a solo home run in his first plate appearance for the Helena Brewers on Monday night.

It gets better.

LaPorta's blast came off former Gator teammate Bryan Augenstein, who was making his first professional start for the Missoula Osprey.

The home run came on an 0-1 count and was LaPorta's first swing as a pro.

LaPorta, the two-time SEC Player of the Year and Gators all-time home run king, reported to Helena, Mont., Monday after spending the last few weeks rehabilitating a quad injury at the Brewers' minor league facility in Maryvale, Ariz.
