Police investigate suspicious substance at Lake Butler Hospital

Officials “locked down” the Lake Butler Hospital Thursday morning because a suspicious substance found at the building, the Union County Sheriff's Office and Alachua County Fire Rescue reported.
Alachua County's hazardous materials team had been called to investigate, said Megan Crandall with Alachua County Fire Rescue.
The facility is located at 850 E. Main St. in Lake Bulter. Deputies with the Union County Sheriff's Office are on the scene.
