No students were injured in a crash involving a school bus in Clay County near the Keystone Heights city limits Thursday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A school bus, traveling north on Hilltop Street, struck a car headed east on Nightingale Street, troopers reported. The crash occurred at about 6 a.m.
Eight people were passengers on board the school bus, according to troopers. None were injured in the crash. The car's occupants, a 24-year-old woman and a 5-year-old child, had minor injuries.
Seven passengers on the bus were elementary and high school-aged children, said FHP Lt. Bill Leeper. The eighth, a Keystone Heights woman, works as a school aide.
Troopers cited the bus driver for violation of right of way.
