Naylor buys into event management

Naylor LLC, the trade association publisher in Gainesville, is expanding into the event management business with this week's purchase of Convention Management Group Inc. of Fairfax, Va., according to a news release.
CMG, founded in 1990, manages conventions and trade shows for trade and professional associations, adding to Naylor's publishing and online services.
CMG's portfolio includes the American Meat Institute's International Meat, Poultry and Seafood Expo; the International Dairy Foods Association's Food, Dairy and Beverage Show; the American Beverage Association's InterBev event; the United Motorcoach Association's Motorcoach Expo; the Construction Specification Institute's CSI Show.
It also includes three events sponsored by the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture.
CMG President Mike Muldoon joins Naylor as executive vice president of Naylor's Convention Management Group.
CMG's 15 employees will join Naylor and remain based in their current Fairfax, Va., offices.
