Bonus should be tied to graduation rate

At a time when the Gators are basking in the sunshine of their great victories, and when the coach's contract is being "extended," is it not appropriate to remember that we are an academic institution?
The business of academic institutions is to provide an education and make sure all students graduate with the necessary tools to achieve their potential.
In this spirit, and following the remarks of professor Dennis R. Howard, of the University of Oregon, I would like to suggest that a new bonus be added to the many bonuses that Coach Meyer's contract already contains; a bonus tied to the graduation rate of his student athletes.
Given the prominence and visibility of our athletic program, this would set a wonderful example that would be hard to ignore.
