MOBILE, Ala. — Florida will be represented in the Jan. 27 Senior Bowl by quarterback Chris Leak, wide receiver Dallas Baker, linebacker Earl Everett and defensive end Ray McDonald, who each played a role in the Gators' championship season.

Bowl President Steve Hale said Saturday Leak's performance during the year in leading his team to the national championship also enabled him to play his way into the all-star game that brings pro scouts to Mobile's Ladd-Peebles Stadium.

Leak closed out his Florida career in dramatic fashion, leading the Gators to a 41-14 victory over Ohio State in the BCS Championship Game for the school's second-ever national title.

Leak completed 25 of 36 passes for 213 yards and one touchdown in the contest.

Leak is the sixth quarterback to be announced for the Senior Bowl, joining an impressive group that includes Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith of Ohio State, Brady Quinn of Notre Dame, Kevin Kolb of Houston, Drew Stanton of Michigan State and Tyler Palko of Pitt.
