Does Bush think we'll swallow this?

Does President Bush expect us to swallow his assurances that the Iraqi army is going to show up and stand up? That we will just be there to back them up? That this time we will be "permitted" to set up check points and to root out the death squads? What makes the Iraqi army's competence viable this time?
They don't have what one could call an exemplary record so far! Why should we believe this time that Malaki will do what he says he'll do? George Bush has lost all sense of reality.
