Slackers on wheels

I wholeheartedly agree with the reader who suggested that we should discourage bicycle riding in Gainesville by taxes and other means. Indeed, these freeloaders, (the bike riders) do not do their part in sending a good chunk of our resources to the friendly countries of Venezuela, Saudi Arabia and Iran who need our gas money much more than we do.
They do not participate in congesting our roads, and polluting our air either. Parking spots in Gainesville are way too easy to find, our roads are too good, and sometimes it only takes three green lights to pass the Archer Road/ 34th Street intersection.
If these no-good bike riders do not contribute, when will we catch up with big cities? How long do we have to wait before obesity finally becomes the number one health problem in the country? Let us get the slackers, fast!

Miklos Bona,
