Students prepare for Career Showcase
The time of year when students trade in their jeans and flip-flops for more professional attire is back again.
The Career Resource Center is offering its workshops to prepare students for the Career Showcase, which helps link students with prospective employers.
The one-hour workshops are designed to help students with everything from picking proper attire to the "One-Minute Interview," which advises students on how to quickly "sell" themselves.
"We began this workshop because students didn't fully understand that preparing for the showcase was a process," said Nadene Francis, assistant director of public relations at the Career Resource Center, in a news release.
The workshops will take place in the Career Resource Center today from 3 to 4 p.m. and Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m.
For more information on the workshops or job search information, please visit www.crc.ufl. edu.
