It's just a word

Poor John W. Clark (Voice, Jan 7). It appears that he doesn't appreciate the intricacies of literary discourse. Tigers usually have cubs. Sports columnist Hubert Mizell used the word "cub" as a harmless metaphor. The educated readership of The Gainesville Sun can forgive Clark if he can forgive Hubert Mizell.
