Urban Meyer has maintained the same pre-night routine for his Florida Gators throughout the season. Therefore, he felt no reason to change anything on the eve of the BCS national title game.
The Gators spent Sunday night holed up inside the plush confines of the team's hotel. Florida players congregated inside a large ballroom at the plush Scottsdale Plaza Resort.
On one half of the ballroom, the Gators relaxed by playing dominos, cards and watching television. On the other half of the ballroom, players watched the Miami Vice movie, staring Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx.
The Scottsdale Plaza Resort is a sprawling, upscale resort located about 30 miles from the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, site of tonight's BCS title game between the Gators and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
The Gators have been staying here since arriving in the Phoenix area Jan. 2. Florida has been practicing at Scottsdale Community College, just a few miles from the Scottsdale Plaza Resort.
