"Someone needs to smack down King Jeb."
State Sen. Nancy Argenziano, R-Dunnellon, angry over Gov. Jeb Bush's backing of a Republican who is challenging incumbent state Sen. Alex Villalobos, R-Miami.
So much for the old Ronald Reagan admonition that thou shall speak no ill against fellow Republicans. On the other hand, Argenziano has always been something of a maverick inside her own party, and with nearly every Republican candidate in Florida running on the promise to continue the "Jeb Bush legacy," it's a bit refreshing to see a little dissent in the ranks. "I'm tired of good Republicans being bashed simply because they disagreed with" Bush, Argenziano said, referring to Villalobos' refusal to back several Bush initiatives this past session.
