Where: Gator Bowl, Jacksonville.

What happened: Florida dominated from start to finish in blitzing the Bulldogs.

Tim Paulk was a menace on defense and picked off a Greg Talley pass returning it 36 yards for a score.

Shane Matthews was on fire, throwing for 344 yards and touchdowns to Terence Barber and twice to Ernie Mills.

Who was the hero: So many to choose from in this game, but how about tight end Kirk Kirkpatrick?

He caught eight passes for 112 yards and broke Jim Yancey's record for the most catches by a tight end in school history.

Why it mattered: Neophyte Gator fans have only heard stories about the days when Georgia dominated the series, but the Dawgs had won three straight and 10 of the last 12 against the Gators.

This game changed the culture of the series and was at the time the most points Florida had scored against Georgia.
