Florida promoted long-time assistant Donnie Jones to replace Anthony Grant as associate coach.
As the new top assistant, Jones will continue to fulfill his roles in recruiting and on the bench. Jones began coaching under Billy Donovan at Marshall in 1994 and has spent all 10 seasons with Donovan at Florida.
Jones, a 1988 graduate of Pikeville (Ky.) College, began his career at Pikeville before moving to Marshall in 1990 as a graduate assistant.
Florida hired Lewis Preston from Notre Dame last April to replace the slot left by Grant, who left for the head coaching job at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Preston and Larry Shyatt will round out the bench as assistants. In addition, former student manager Matt McCall has been moved up to director of basketball operations.
