Florida coach Urban Meyer got the wrong kind of early morning phone call Friday.
He was told that his good friend Randy Walker, the head football coach at Northwestern, had died of an apparent heart attack.
"It's devastating. I woke up to that news and I couldn't believe it," Meyer said. "He's an unbelievable guy. We played them in 2001 and we'd always be sure we had dinner together at the coaches' convention. He was one of the top coaches in America."
