Bombing should be a last resort

Mark Adams' April 24 letter was the typical Republican response to any kind of threat, imaginary or real - nuke em! Adams would have us bomb Iran for developing nuclear power.
Do you have any idea what would happen to the entire world if the United States bombed Iran? Besides removing Iran from the map, and I can hear Adams cheering, millions upon millions of people, men women and children would die, not just immediately, but over the coming decades. Nuclear waste would drift through the atmosphere for the next century, affecting the rain, the wind, and everyone who touches it or breathes it.
Thermal nuclear war must be our last choice in any situation, never our first. America's nuclear capacity now is hundreds of times more deadly than 60 years ago.
Consider perhaps Iran just wants to develop atomic energy for future electricity. After all, the "Iran" scare comes from Bush, who already lied us into destroying one innocent country. When is enough enough for you Republicans?
What Republicans can do to help remedy the Iran "scare" is to join levelheaded Americans in voting what has been the most incompetent, arrogant, greedy administration in American history out of office.
Let's start over with a leader who has some intelligence, compassion and regard for those who are less than millionaires - a leader who can communicate with ideas rather than bombs.
