10 p.m. Saturday
My mind's a blur of orange and blue. I spent the day watching, talking to and writing about Gators wearing orange track suits and blue blazers, with orange and blue pom poms sprouting from their pockets.
I saw one guy walking down Georgia Avenue wearing what appeared to be nothing but black dress shoes and a white bathrobe dotted with tiny Gator heads.
These people are crazy.
We've been filing reports from a McDonald's inside the Hyatt. It has wireless Internet and an outlet that lets us recharge our laptops' batteries, which has become the new definition of comfort.
All day, people have gawked at us like we're doing a circus act rather than just typing on laptops. Earlier, a group of guys stood about three feet away from us, staring.
They asked what whether we were playing a computer game or IMing each other, and we told them we were reporters.
"Cool," one of them said. "Little reporters typing on laptops."
Our laptops do match, since they're both Sun-issued, and we do sort of look alike.
Luckily, as weird as we may look, this is a city where dudes are walking around wearing Gator bathrobes in broad daylight.
