Most truckers are safety-minded

I have read all the hype and fussing over truck drivers lately, and it's time to stop. Not all truck drivers cause all the accidents that are truck-related. Yes, the driver in Lake Butler is likely to be cited for being at fault, but a more recent accident involving a truck was caused by the driver of an SUV.
My husband has been a driver for 30 years, and he tries to ensure the safety of others at all times. It's very hard when you have people out there who show no respect for trucks and their drivers. As for me, I am always aware of my surroundings when I drive my own car, just like the drivers of most of the semis out there.
So heed my warning: Show larger vehicles the same respect you wish them to show you and all can get along on the roads together.
