Oak Hall stuns Maclay to advance

Oak Hall scored four goals in the first half and defeated Maclay 4-1 on Tuesday night in a girls' soccer Region 1-2A semifinal game in Tallahassee.
Emily Shore scored two goals for Oak Hall. Caroline Driscoll and Anna Marichal had the other scores. Maclay's (17-3-3) lone goal came in the 64th minute. Eagle goalie Morgan Johnson recorded six saves.
Oak Hall (12-8-3) will travel to play Orange Park St. Johns Country Day in the regional finals on Friday. St. Johns Country Day was a 8-0 winner over Niceville Rocky Bayou.
A dream season came to an end for the host Taylor County Bulldogs at the hands of perennial girls soccer powerhouse Jacksonville Bolles, which won 8-0. Taylor County concluded its best season in school history at 14-8, while Bolles advances to the regional finals on Friday.
