Not more traffic on Newberry Road

We hope that those in decision-making positions will take a close look at the need for yet another development at the corner of Newberry Road and Fort Clarke Boulevard.
This project (or a similar one) was not approved last year. The traffic congestion that already exists is outrageous, sometimes backing up from Tower Road well past Fort Clarke Boulevard.
Providing bus service is a lovely idea but most people, unfortunately, will prefer to use their own vehicles. Most of them do not take advantage of existing carpools. People who have children in day care or schools prefer to have their own transportation in case emergencies arise.
Has anyone studied school concurrency? Both Hidden Oak Elementary School and Ft. Clarke Middle School are already well beyond their capacities.
There is a fire station on Fort Clarke Boulevard that needs to have access to the main thoroughfare of Newberry Road. There have been instances where they have been slowed down due to already existing traffic.
Regarding "needed" shopping space, there are many vacancies already existing in the current shopping centers. It also seems that the land has already been cleared at the building site. Does whoever cleared know something that we don't?
We hope that the needs of the community will be considered in making this decision.
