This is to urge members of our community to see the Hippodrome's current production of the play, "Frozen." It is one of the most outstanding dramas I've seen on stage in a long time.
Given the subject matter, child abduction, I was reluctant to see what I thought would be a depressing play. Instead, I found it to be a powerfully intelligent and sometimes witty drama.
It did not depress me, it enlightened me. It did not make me weep; it made me resolved. I feel resolved to be more mindful of children around me.
We are all responsible for protecting children from the mentally ill mind of the child abductor. Time Magazine called this play a "must see," and I now understand why. It is superbly acted and staged, as it addresses our notions of evil and forgiveness.
