CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) - Defensive tackle Baraka Atkins and wide receiver Ryan Moore are returning for their senior seasons at Miami, the school announced Thursday.
Atkins and Moore both spent the past couple weeks deciding whether the time was right to enter the NFL draft.
"Both players are excited about the opportunity to come back for the chance to compete at a high level and improve as individual football players," Hurricanes coach Larry Coker said in a statement released by the school.
Atkins had 49 tackles, six quarterback pressures, five tackles for loss and 1 1/2 sacks while starting all 12 games for Miami, which finished 9-3 and ranked 17th in the AP Top 25 poll.
Moore caught 28 passes for 464 yards and four touchdowns this past season for the Hurricanes. He did not play in Miami's season-ending Peach Bowl loss to LSU following a suspension for breaking an unspecified team rule.
Only one member of Miami's 2005 team _ kick returner and cornerback Devin Hester _ has announced that he's skipping his senior season and entering the NFL draft.
