Are you watching the Alito hearings? Are you watching America in the last throws of democracy as she writhes and gasps, caught unaware between her public's innocent ambivalence and her lawmaker's appearance of propriety?
Make no mistake. His chubby cherubic face says all the right things and speaks of the rule of law while salivating at the chance to change the face of this country and shape it to the right wing ideal.
Make no mistake. His nomination will be approved despite the objections of the few good men willing to ask tough questions. The power brokers will have their way and the trinity of government will be delivered to their sweaty hands. Women will lose their right to choose, executive power will go unchecked, and our children and poor will pay the ultimate price.
America, as we know it, will die a slow death at the hands of a government drunk with power.
Watch it. If you do, you will watch history and maybe for the last time.
