Wake up before it's too late

I am not as formally educated as most in this town. However, the articles and letters on these editorial pages prove there are a lot of educated people who do not reason well.
They have the power to communicate but not contemplate. Too many want their own standard of righteousness instead of the law this country was founded on. So who now gets to set that standard?
We have a society that is more lawless than ever, with more laws on the books than ever. Too many think pacifism, communication and love or just ignoring aggression will stop it. History has proven time and again those never work.
Without our military the world would be governed by dictators. A democratic superpower has always been necessary to keep some sort of a free world.
Too many people, especially politicians, believe we need to be a world-oriented society. Yet while we are bettering living conditions around the world ever so slightly, ours has fallen dramatically.
Too many believe you can force change, yet history has proven countries and peoples seem to want to revert back to what they were before someone else tried to bring them into the 19th, 20th or 21st century. Yet we continue trying.
Over the last generation, since allowing our companies to move offshore, giving virtual free access to foreign companies and illegal immigrants, our wages have not kept up with our desired standard of living.
Too many believe they can rationalize all situations, when, in fact, sometimes you need God's revelational knowledge. History has also proven we never learn from history. Wake up. It is almost too late!
