Models for the Ebony Fashion Fair, an event billed as the largest traveling fashion show in the world, will strut their haute couture on stage at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lincoln Middle School.
The evening gala, themed "Fit To Be Fabulous," is the 48th Ebony Fashion Fair hosted by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., according to Marsha Kiner, sorority president. Verna Johnson is the chairwoman of the fashion show, and Ilene Silverman is the honorary chair.
Proceeds from the event will fund the sorority's scholarships to high school seniors in the local and neighboring communities.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for high school students, and are available from all Zeta members or by contacting Johnson at (352) 377-0838 or (352) 372-1004.
Each ticket includes a year's subscription to Ebony Magazine or JET magazine.
