A dangerous crossing

I am one of the hundreds of UF and Shands employee's who take my life into my own hands daily, just by trying to cross Archer Road and Sharon Lemerand Drive legally.
That particular crosswalk allows a normal pedestrian all of 3 to 4 seconds to cross legally on the "WALK" sign. No lie, I have timed it.
No wonder the majority of the crossers are jay walking. At least you have a chance to make your own way safely across those four deadly lanes, and you have at least a fighting chance against the traffic!
I pity anyone who is disabled, or just a slow walker, trying to get across that intersection. Please don't tell me to call campus police. They don't control traffic signals.
