Lancing Boatman listens to Judge Jim McCune during his first appearance in the courtroom at the Marion County Jail in Ocala, Fl Tuesday January 11, 2006.

Boatman is charged with the killing of Amber Peck and John Parker last Saturday at a remote camp site in the Ocala National Forest. He was captured Tuesday after motorist Joey Tierney came forward and told Sheriff's detectives that he had picked Boatman up in the forest a short distance from where the killing took place.

Police tracked Boatman to his Largo, FL home. The AK-47 assault rifle Boatman is believed to have used in the killings was also recovered and matched with shell casings and bullets from the scene.
