Clothesline drying helps save resources

It was really nice to see the Jan. 5 letter about using a clothesline to dry clothes. I too find using my clothesline to be a relaxing and easy way to save energy and be outside in the sunshine.
On a sunny day, it takes about an hour to dry a load of clothes - about the same as it would take to dry a load of towels and jeans in the dryer. My clothes last longer and feel fresher when I line dry them.
My parrot rides in the clothes basket and then hangs upside down on the clothesline and plays with the clothes pins while I hang everything up. It feels good when you're making a contribution to saving precious resources.
