2006 needs to bring respect for America

What do you think happened in 2005? Has the almighty dollar and greed taken over our politicians? When will they open their eyes and see that our country is coming apart at its seams.
The rich are getting richer, the middle class is ceasing to exist. The poor are getting poorer, and all the politicians can do is give themselves a pay raise. They got us in a war that we can't win and can't get out of, unless the Shittes take over and ask us to leave.
Our education level is seventh in the world, and we continue to graduate students from high school who can't read, write or even add without a calculator.
You can't get a job anymore that gives benefits, and even if you did, you wouldn't be there long, since jobs are going overseas faster than they are created. Oil companies are making billions, and their CEO's are making millions, while most Americans can't even pay their credit card bills.
Our seniors are getting fewer and fewer benefits, wondering whether they should pay for their medicine or buy a quart of milk. Illegal immigration is running rampant, filling our schools, hospitals and low paying jobs and putting a huge burden on our local governments.
The price of housing is going out of sight. We have lost our respect throughout the world. We bully small countries and threaten them for not becoming a democracy while we do business with communist China.
Republicans and Democrats alike need to listen to the people, take care of our country, our flag, restore dignity to our nation and respect throughout the world. Otherwise, I'm afraid to even think what 2006 will be like.
