Developers provide necessary housing in growing community

Cindy Norden's letter (Dec. 28) criticizing Ron Shema and other developers reveals her selfish nature. As I see it, Shema is providing housing for people which, in this growing world, is very necessary.
Of course this involves "killing or evicting wildlife, toppling oxygen-giving trees," but her accusation that they are "destroying the entire earth" seems a bit extreme. There is no doubt that Cindy Norden lives in a house that was man-made, and whatever sort of dwelling she inhabits, it involved some measure of the destruction she describes.
That she should belabor Shema for doing the very thing that someone did on her behalf seems very selfish. Perhaps she should look up the meaning of a "dog in a manger."
