A bright shining star shone over our nation's Capitol on Friday. It was a light that had not been seen for some time. It appeared in the form of special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald. He is the one who had been investigating the White House leak of the Identity of a CIA agent. He put to rest the absurd rationalization that the treasonous act of revealing an agent's identity was somehow acceptable. He restored the concept that this is a nation of laws and no one is exempt from the law.
But most importantly, he proved that there is still someone in Washington who can function with integrity and credibility.
The fact that "Scooter" Libby was indicted for perjury and obstruction of justice should comfort us all. This is not about which party has the upper hand or if its the liberals or right-wing neocons that are destroying this nation. It's about the restoration of the ideals and principals of our nation. Go Fitz.
