Fundamental principles that contribute to success in the classroom and on personal levels are always on the agenda for youth at New Beginnings Church of God by Faith.
''We're aimed at building exceptional citizens and phenomenal Christians," says Deacon Amos Watts, musical director at New Beginnings Church.
The church's involvement in activities that help young people discover themselves will aid in preparing them for success, and one such activity includes joining the choir.
The choir at New Beginnings has more than 40 years of experience. It currently is directed by Sylvia Armstrong. The youth and mass choirs are accompanied by Watts on lead guitar, Audo Alford playing bass, drummer Tommy Roberson and Cedrick Bak.
"Most of our music ensembles are fast-paced and churchy," says Armstrong, who added that the intent is for the music to be an integral part of the religious service.
