University of Florida senior Liz Wanless (Belleville, Ill.) has been named Southeastern Conference Field Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week, the league office announced Tuesday.

Liz Wanless took first in the shot put at the UNC Invitational with a NCAA automatic mark of 17.29/56-04.50.

It was Wanless' fourth shot put title already this year in just five events. She is currently ranked number two in the shot put in the Trackwire.com "Dandy Dozen".

Her throw of 17.42m/57-02.00 stands as number one in the Southeastern Conference so far this season.

Wanless and the rest of the Gators return to action as they host the Gator Invitational on Feb. 6 beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
