Butler's new developments will be a waste of funding

I would like to thank U.S. Sens. Bob Graham and Bill Nelson and U.S. Reps. Corrine Brown and Cliff Stearns for getting $3 million in federal funds for Clark Butler. And let's not forget to thank our state Sen. Rod Smith for requesting $2 million in state funds for the same person.
These funds will be used for an unnecessary four-lane road and an unnecessary new shopping center.
If the senators and representatives wanted to help, then why couldn't they come up with some federal and and state funds to repair some of Alachua County's bad roads?
Let's be sure to change the name of SW 24th Avenue to Butler Road. I cannot wait to see the increase in traffic and vehicle accidents at SW 24th Avenue and SW 34th Street.
