We slam the president, but not the Super Bowl?

I wonder why all the voices that condemned President Bush for the pomp and circumstance of the inauguration are suddenly so silent over the lavish celebrations and security costs for the Super Bowl.
I guess the crowning of our best American "gladiators" is far more important than affirming the 43rd consecutive peaceful transfer of power of the most successful and generous country in the history of human civilization.
Why haven't they insisted that all this money be used to help the tsunami victims too?
