Liberals can't be 'godless'

I am writing this in reply to Keith Stegath's letter (Jan. 20) declaring that liberals have "brought disgrace to our nation" by "convincing weapons inspectors to stop searching for Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction" (How did we do this again?).
He also calls upon all conservatives to ban together, fly to Iraq and search until they find weapons of mass destruction to prove us liberals wrong. Keith also called liberals "godless."
It saddens me deeply to see that some Americans are so brainwashed to still believe that Saddam Hussein actually had weapons of mass destruction when even the Bush administration admitted that none existed.
They were a lie, and there is nothing insecure conservatives like Keith can do to make it not a lie.
However, don't let me stand in your way Keith. By all means, rally your 54 million conservatives (is that the only actual fact you know? You used it a lot in your article. The rest of it was complete and utter nonsense.) Fly to Iraq.
America could use a lot less paranoid conservatives who cannot stand to be proven wrong. It was also a slap in my face to be called "godless." I have read the Bible, and Jesus was a pacifist, and a friend of the poor.
Jesus was a liberal, and because it is written that Jesus is of the same substance as God, God is a liberal. Think twice before calling liberals "godless."
