Is abortion a form of genocide?

Last week, I watched an interesting program on the subject of Auschwitz on PBS. It ended with a discussion between a moderator and two experts on genocide.
One of the experts confidently asserted that an essential ingredient of genocide is dehumanization, and without viewing a group as subhuman, it cannot occur. Later, the question was raised, "Could genocide occur here in America?"
I could not help but ask myself, "Have we not dehumanized the unborn and viewed them as less than human?" With the 32nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the number of abortions performed here since its inception is more than 40 million. Are we not guilty of genocide?
