National signing day for high school prospects to choose the college of their choice is February 2.
February 2, that leaves Urban Meyer and his newly constructed coaching staff just under two weeks to do what most coaches in the country have been working towards for months.
With time and options shrinking by the day, the 17 prospects visiting UF on Friday will be one of the last chances for Gators to convince some of the nations top high school stars to choose Gainesville as their home for the next four years.
Players scheduled to visit are running back Antone Smith, Pahokee, FL, defensive tackle, James McKinney, Louisville, KY, offensive lineman, Matt Hardrick, Orlando, FL, defensive tackle Jeffrey Owens, Plantation, FL, safety Dorian Munroe, Miami, FL, defensive tackle Vladimir Richard, Sunrise, FL, running back Kestahn Moore, Arlington, TX, linebacker Kalvin Baker, Columbus, GA, linebacker Ryan Stamper, Jacksonville, FL, cornerback Jordan Hemby, Morganton, NC, wide receiver David Nelson, Wichita Falls, TX, wide receiver Louis Murphy, Saint Petersburg, FL, offensive lineman Brian Roche, Ramsey, NJ, wide receiver Eric Sledge, Apopka, FL, offensive lineman Quinton Brown, Orlando, FL, offensive lineman Tommy Duhart, Belle Glade, FL and safety Tyller Roberts, Orlando, FL.
While Friday is the beginning of the end of the recruiting season, the Gators do have 15 prospects visiting Gainesville Jan. 28 for the last weekend of recruiting.
