Southeast Gainesville soon will be home to Beacon Hill, a condominium development featuring 14 two-bedroom, 2 1/2 -bath units.
The $1.8 million development is being built on a one-acre lot at SE 16th Avenue and Williston Road. While the lot is located adjacent to the In The Pines apartment complex, it has no connection to the complex, said Greg Trunnell of Trunnell Construction Services in Gainesville. Trunnell and Richard McCauley are the developers of Beacon Hill.
Individual units, all offering 1,400 square feet of space, will feature a variety of amenities. They are priced at approximately $142,700, and 10 of the 14 units have already been sold, Trunnell said.
Construction is to begin this week on the complex, with completion expected in June.
Ricardo Cavallino of Cavallino & Associates in Gainesville is the project's architect, and Alison Fetner of Fetner Engineering in Hawthorne is the civil engineer on the development.
