    Skateboard park proposed for beach

  • The City Council unanimously agreed Tuesday to plans to build a skateboard park at Keystone Beach.
Mayor Lyndel Hale said the city will measure an area located on the opposite side of the playground. He suggested installing a concrete slab on which to locate ramps. Funding for the project would come from donations and fund-raisers.
Because there is no place for kids to skateboard, they do it on the streets, sidewalks, parking lots or any surface with a slope, which has prompted complaints from many business owners and also caused friction in the community.
